Pedestal bearings EG/ER type

Pedestal bearings EG/ER type

Pedestal housings, those intended for be placed on foundation structures, are widely used in general mechanical engineering applications.

Bearings up to size 45 are designed with finned surfaces to allow for the best heat dissipation. This type of design, with air cooling, is still possible for numerous applications at this size. Sizes 18 to 45 are available with a finned or smooth surface and with smooth surfaces only from size 56 onwards.
The bearings with external lubrication unit, allows you to use a more simple and regular design.
When the shells and the seals of the bearings are disassembled, the housings can be slid in axial direction without removing the rotor. If the housings are located on intermediate pedestals (consoles), can be lowered and moved sideways once the consoles are removed. Bases must be built with a level of sufficient rigidity to ensure that the machines operate smoothly and reliably.
