For more than 80 years, the mission of SUCO has been to provide concrete answers to your technological challenges. What began in 1938 as a small machine shop founded by Robert Scheuffele in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Stuttgart) is now the partner of choice for pressure monitoring and power transmission.

The history of SUCO is the story of a constant evolution: the company marks its first turning point in 1946 with the start of the production of centrifugal clutches and brakes. SUCO’s innovative soul emerged again strongly in 1960, when the production of mechanical pressure switches for the automotive industry began. This expertise expanded rapidly: in 1969 the range of electromagnetic clutches was introduced, while in 1979 the company made a decisive strategic choice, directing its know-how in pressure monitoring mainly towards applications in the hydraulic sector, in which it is still the reference standard today.

In the 80s and 90s, SUCO sets new market standards with the development of the iconic Hex 24 (1980) and Hex 27 (1984) series of pressure switches. Innovation continues with the development of solutions used in the first ABS braking systems, confirming the ability to respond to the most complex engineering challenges.

In 2009, the acquisition of the UK-based ESI Technology Ltd. allowed SUCO to integrate the revolutionary Silicon-on-Sapphire (SoS) sensor technology into its range of pressure transmitters and to further develop the group
